Discount for cash…?

Gas stations across the country are launching promotions to encourage customers to pay with cash rather than a credit card.

As gas prices rise so are credit card fees which are usually paid by the gas stations.

Please leave a comment and let The Light 103.9 know:
Would you pay cash for gas if the gas station gave you a 3 to 5 cent discount?

Barack Obama on Fatherhood

On Father’s day, Democratic Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama spoke to the congregation of the Apostolic Church of God in his hometown of Chicago. Obama addressed the issue of black fathers who are “missing from too many lives and too many homes.” He reminds the congregation that although this is not just a black problem it is more prevalent in the black community. Barack’s father left when he was 2 and statistics show that children born into a single parent household have pretty much doubled since the time Barack was a child.

What do you think can be done to heal our family values; to bring change to this increasing problem?

13 YEAR OLD AUTISTIC BOY – BANNED

A Minnesota Catholic Church has banned a 13 year old autistic boy from attending Sunday morning Mass. Leaders of The Church of St. Joseph, feel that Adam Race’s unpredictable behavior threatens the safety of others attending Mass. Leaders say that he has hit a child, nearly knocked over an elderly parishioner and urinated in the church. So, they have obtained a restraining order to keep him away from the church. Adam’s mom says this is wrong and the claims are exaggerated.

IS IT OVER FOR OPRAH?

Recent articles talk about the decline in Oprah Winfrey’s popularity. Her average listenership has fallen about 7 percent this year and this is the third straight year of decline. Some point to her endorsement of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama while others believe it has to do with her skeptical religious beliefs (check out you tube – “the church of Oprah”).

Do you think that it’s over for Oprah?

WHAT SHOULD HILLARY CLINTON’S NEXT MOVE BE?

The latest primary results showed that Obama won N.C. 56% over Clinton’s 42% (14% victory) and Clinton won Indiana 51% to Obama’s 49% (2% victory). Currently Obama leads Clinton in delegate votes as well.

Do you think Hillary Clinton should continue to run her democratic presidential run or should she concede the nomination to Barack and help to unify the Democratic Party? Why?
